Effect:

• Milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertner) is an annual plant belonging to the Asteraceae family, to the subfamily of the Asteroidae.
• The herbal raw material is fruit (incorrectly called seeds), usually containing 2-3% of silymarin, which is a mixture of flavonolignans.
• Based on studies conducted over the past years, it has been found that silymarin shows the following effects:
• Sheath and regenerating hepatocytes (liver cells). Preparations containing silymarin are used to treat the liver (cirrhosis, steatosis, viral hepatitis A, B and C), gallstones and biliary tract infections,
• Antioxidant and detoxifying - protects the liver against numerous poisons, such as carbon disulfide, tetrachloromethane, pesticides or toadstool toxins,
• Anti-cancer, especially in neoplastic diseases of the skin (melanomas) and bladder,
• Milk and choleretic.
• This product contains only 3-4% fat (for comparison: unprocessed milk thistle contains approx. 25% fat) - important for people on a low-fat diet or who just want to stay fit,
• The product has a very low humidity of 4-5% (unprocessed milk thistle: 6-10%)
• Thanks to degreasing and lowering the moisture content, the product is enriched with silymarin (approx. 20% more silymarin compared to milk thistle before the degreasing process),
• Thanks to degreasing and lowering the humidity, the obtained product is very durable.

Usage:

• Ground, skimmed milk thistle can be used as a seasoning agent for salads, salads, sandwiches and other foods, and for direct consumption.
• The product can also be used in the form of an infusion, decoction or alcohol tincture.

• Store closed, at room temperature, out of reach of small children.
