Description
Effect:
- In the winter and fall months, when there is no sun, vitamin D is not naturally produced by the body, as it is only produced when sufficient UV rays are available to our skin. The more exposed the skin is, the more vitamin D is created. After about 30 minutes in strong sunlight, vitamin D production is 10,000 IU. Then vitamin D is not produced in the skin.
- In countries with temperate and cold climates, in the winter and autumn months without sun, vitamin D may not be produced in the skin at all, which forces us to supplement its deficiencies through appropriate supplementation.
- Vitamin D plays a role in cell division processes and contributes to:
- keeping the skeleton normal
- maintaining normal muscle function
- keeping teeth normal
- normal absorption of lime and phosphorus
- maintaining normal levels of calcium in the blood
